A video has surfaced of an Emirates flight attendant pouring champagne back into a bottle, and people just aren’t quite sure how to react.
Snapped by passenger Yevgeny Kaymov, the seemingly small incident has gone on to make international headlines.
Would you have been shocked? Here’s the video…
The video received some backlash, but one flight attendant stepped in to save the day with an explanation
“Hey, I’m a flight attendant. What I think is going on here is that the attendant is probably pouring the unused champagne back in the bottle before take off to then dispose of once the plan takes off.
“We’re not allowed to pour things out while we’re on the ground. I bet they’re pouring it all back in the bottle so they can then pour it out at cruising instead of dumping it all in the trash can making it all soggy before take off.
“I could be wrong but realistically that’s probably what’s going on. Being a flight attendant is all about efficiency and consolidating haha.”
This isn’t the only reason Emirates has been in the news…
Emirates has confirmed that the electronics ban imposed on flights to the United States has been removed. Finally.
You’ll no longer be restricted from taking electronic devices onto Emirates flights to the US.
“Effective immediately, the electronics ban has been lifted for Emirates’ flights from Dubai International Airport to the U.S.A.
“Emirates has been working hard in coordination with various aviation stakeholders and the local authorities to implement heightened security measures and protocols that meet the requirements of the US Department of Homeland Security’s new security guidelines for all US bound flights.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the US and local authorities for their support and thank our customers for their understanding and patience during the last few months when the ban was in place”
