If you were out and about in the UAE this weekend, you might have come across some pretty serious weather – including rainfall, strong winds and even thunderstorms.
It got so bad, that one man was even killed in Al Ain after getting struck by a lightning bolt while working on a rooftop.
Want to know how bad it got? Check out these videos shared by the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, as well as page Storm Centre of the weekend’s weather.
If you’re a pluviophile who missed the rain over the weekend, there’s still a chance. NCMS have kept us hopeful by posting the following statement to their Twitter:
“It will be hot to very hot weather in general, partly cloud and hazy or dusty at times, with a chance of convective clouds development over some eastern and southern areas, accompanied with some rainfall of different intensity.”
