Emirates have lifted the electronics ban on its US flights

If you’re a frequent traveler, we’ve got good news.

Emirates has confirmed that the electronics ban imposed on flights to the United States has been removed. Finally.

You’ll no longer be restricted from taking electronic devices onto Emirates flights to the US.

“Effective immediately, the electronics ban has been lifted for Emirates’ flights from Dubai International Airport to the U.S.A.

“Emirates has been working hard in coordination with various aviation stakeholders and the local authorities to implement heightened security measures and protocols that meet the requirements of the US Department of Homeland Security’s new security guidelines for all US bound flights.

“We would like to express our gratitude to the US and local authorities for their support and thank our customers for their understanding and patience during the last few months when the ban was in place”

When the electronics ban was initially imposed, many took to Twitter to mock the airlines involved…

The only Middle Eastern airline that stood opposed to the electronics ban was Royal Jordanian, who even went as far as hosting a poem contest about the ban, with the prize being two tickets to the US.
What do you think? Were you affected much by the electronics ban?
